10/3/2017 BUSINESS WITH HEARTOn March 8th 2017, four inspirational businesswomen gathered at Confluence in Whanganui for a panel discussion led by Nicola Pattrick of the Whanganui Chamber of Commerce. I was lucky enough to be one of the large group who attended. I sat there on my chair, listening, soaking up the wisdom, writing down quotes like ""I value opportunity and choice and I want to use my business to give other people the opportunity and choice I never had." and "use your energy and passion for stuff that matters" in my wee notebook. The women come from very different backgrounds, and work in completely different sectors, but had in common the fact that they navigate the world of business while holding "heart" as important. An unusual and progressive position in this environment where the economic bottom line still seems to be the only real focus for business done by the mainstream.
